Sound of Music Week 3 – Pastor Kevin Kringel
Worship is not a style, a song, a music genre…worship is our response to God.

1 Chronicles 16:23-31
“Let the whole earth sing to the LORD! Each day proclaim the good news that He saves. Publish His glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things He does. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be revered above all gods. The gods of other nations are merely idols, but the LORD made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround Him; strength and beauty are in his dwelling. O nations of the world, recognize the LORD, recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong. Give to the LORD the glory He deserves! Bring your offering and come to worship Him. Worship the LORD in all His holy splendor. Let all the earth tremble before Him. The world is firmly established and cannot be shaken. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations that the LORD is king.
Cain gave what he felt like giving, Able gave what God wanted…
And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. 3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance (surplus) have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.”
1 Chronicles 21:18-24
1 Samuel 15:22- Obedience is better than sacrifice
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship…
8 Here mortal men receive tithes, but there He receives them, of whom it is witnessed that He lives (Jesus).
Leviticus 5 & 14
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
