One - Week 3

One: Speaking Like a Champion Today's one thing is: Speaking Like a Champion . What would your life look like if you never spoke another negative word over your life this year? What would happen if you started speaking like a champion?

Definition of a champion:
Supreme victor in a contest

Proverbs 18:20
A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth: and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 18:21 (MSG)
Words kill, words give life, they’re either poison or fruit-you choose.

Proverbs 15:4 (AMP)
A gentle tongue with it’s healing power is a tree of life, but willful contrariness in it breaks down the spirit.

Matthew 12:34-37 (MSG)
“…words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”

Matthew 12:34
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Ephesians 4:29
Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it.

Speak Like a Champion

2014 is going to be my best year yet!

I do not expect to fail. I expect to win!

I expect to have the favor of the Lord in every situation of my life.

I believe that I can do all that the Lord has called me to do and accomplish this year.

No matter what may come my way in 2014, I know that with the help of the Holy Spirit, I can and will make it through victorious.

I expect to grow in my walk with the Lord.

I expect to be used by the Lord.

I will not quit!

I will not back down!

I am moving forward!

I am a champion!
