Opportunity for Change

Pressure:
1. “the continuous physical force exerted on or against an object by something in contact with it.” 2. “the use of persuasion, influence, or intimidation to make someone do something.”

James 1:2-4 (AMP)
Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be (people) perfectly and fully developed (with no defects), lacking in nothing.

Romans 5:3-5 (AMP)
Moreover (let us also be full of joy now!) let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character (of this sort) produces (the habit of) joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Enemies of Change
The enemies of change attempt to distort and minimize the results of change. They attempt to make one feel as though the sacrifice of change is significantly greater than the reward.
